We're pretty foggy to start this day after the Christmas holiday. Some areas will see more sun than others though. A lot of dense fog around the Central and Southern Puget Sound. I think the Central Sound around Seattle has a better chance of breaking into some blue skies for later this afternoon. Temperature-wise around Seattle I think we'll be in the mid 40s-- which is seasonal for this part of December.
While we did see a few light showers overnight in Whatcom and Skagit counties-- we're dry until some light showers return tomorrow afternoon. We are very dry for Western Washington in December. At SeaTac we've only seen about 38% of normal December rainfall. In a typical December we'd see about 4.20 inches of rain, so far we're more than 2.5 inches behind. With rainfall amounts only totaling about 1.62 inches this December.
We wont see much rain, or mountain snow, over the weekend. Both days look pretty dry. Another round of light rain expected late Monday and Tuesday with lots of clouds around the region. So far at this point, it looks like we'll be cloudy but dry as we ring in 2014 here in Seattle. Enjoy!
