VP, General Sales Manager (Regular, Full Time)

KCPQ-TV/KZJO-TV, The FOX Owned and Operated local news stations in Seattle, Washington, is looking for a Vice President/General Sales Manager to lead our sales team!  The ideal candidate is someone with previous management experience in broadcast and digital media sales, but also someone who understands how to build success in the ever-changing media environment. In this role, you will provide excellent leadership to the station’s local and national sales efforts by giving direction, training, and feedback to the sales team. In addition, the GSM will be able to accurately forecast revenue, analyze trends and formulate effective pricing and inventory policy to meet and exceed all budgeted revenue goals. Proven success in building client relationships a must.   The successful GSM will be able to maintain a high-functioning sales environment culture that embraces new technology and can creatively bring solutions to our clients. A minimum of 5 years of media management experience is preferred, with a proven record of accomplishment.

  • Create a sales plan that meets the station’s revenue goals with an emphasis on new business and new media platforms including Fox’s OTT product FLX.

Digital Sales Manager (Regular, Full Time)

KCPQ/KZJO in Seattle, WA is looking for an experienced Digital Sales Manager to develop business and lead our sales team in selling Fox’s premier digital assets. Must have strong presentation skills and the ability to excel in a collaborative environment with a driven and experienced sales team. This position will be responsible for planning and executing a strategy to achieve aggressive monthly digital revenue goals. The Digital Sales Manager directly oversees the daily operations of the station's digital advertising business and interacts with clients and advertising agencies to maximize digital revenue. The Digital Sales Manager also assists in hiring, training, and developing Account Executives.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to deliver polished sales presentations to local decision-makers in a language they can understand. Candidate should be well versed in the evolving digital advertising landscape. Develops and implements client focused advertising plans, new products and effective sales presentations to generate new business. Maintains an effective system to ensure proper development of new and existing accounts. NEWS  

Photographer (Regular, Full Time)

KCPQ-TV and KZJO-TV, the FOX O&O duopoly in Seattle, Washington is seeking a photojournalist with experience to join our news team. The primary role of the photojournalist is to be an NPPA-style visual storyteller. This role will shoot, co-produce, edit, and present images with sound for multiple platforms including television, web, and social media.  As a news photojournalist, you must be a go-getter.  This position requires the ability to go live in breaking news situations and multi-task by shooting video, editing, and feeding raw and edited material. Must be willing to conduct interviews on your own including man-on-the-street and "go live" as a performer in breaking news situations.  The successful candidate must have an understanding of bonded cellular technology and live truck operations, experience operating ENG/KU/IP vehicles and equipment is preferred.  Must be able to use field lighting to produce well-lit content, as needed.  Experience with non-linear editing equipment, such as Edius and/or Adobe Premiere is required.  Experience with Sony XDCam Camera format is a plus.  FAA license to operate a drone is a plus. Knowledge of iNews and desktop editing are preferred. Some writing and voiceover experience is also desirable/preferred.  Perform other duties as assigned.

The executive producer will oversee and manage news personnel on the nightside shift, including producers, assignment editors, writers, video editors, reporters, anchors, directors and photographers. The candidate will lead the editorial process, and manage changes to daily newsgathering as breaking news develops.
