18-year-old Cyrus Mason was shot and killed at Houghton Beach Park in Kirkland the evening of September 16.
Kirkland investigators have discovered that Houghton Beach Park was the destination for a firearms transaction. It was chosen since Kirkland is geographically located between Marysville, where the victim was traveling from, and Renton, where the suspects were traveling from. Investigators have contacted two of the three persons of interest in this case. There is more information leading to the possibility of a fourth person of interest.
Investigators still need more information about the suspects that were seen on the dock at the time of the shooting.
Suspect 1 has been described as a white male, age 15-20 years old, 5’10”-6’ tall, thin build, curly hair (unknown color), wearing a gray hoodie, either gray sweatpants or light-colored jeans, and white athletic shoes.
Suspect 2 has been described as an unknown race male, light skin, age 15-20 years old, 5’8”-5’10” tall, thin build, with dark curly hair, wearing a black hoodie, and black pants.
