SAN DIEGO -- A Philadelphia couple has come forward as the two people featured in a viral photograph taken by a California photographer.
FOX 5 San Diego reports Robert Treml and his soon-to-be-wife Meghan Peart were the couple captured in the photo under a rainbow.
Treml received a phone call from his brother in St. Louis who saw the online campaign aimed to find the couple.
Photographer Dan McGeorge had started an online effort to find the couple after he took a photo of their proposal under a rainbow at Hotel Del Coronado in California.
“Big thanks to all of you caring people who shared and helped in the search! It was so wonderful to find them!” McGeorge wrote on Facebook.
But wait, there's more
Shortly after Treml asked Peart to marry him, the couple looked for someone to take their photos as a newly engaged couple.
“We went up to and we asked him if he wouldn’t mind taking a few pictures and he was very nice and very helpful,” Peart told FOX 5.
“I did, then wished them well and they went on their way,” he wrote.
McGeroge said he later realized they were the same couple from his original photograph.
The search ended just in time for Valentine’s Day.
