Western Washington skiers excited about spring snow



STEVENS PASS, Wash. (AP) — Some people are wearing shorts in Seattle on Sunday, but in the mountains skiers are enjoying some April snow.

Stevens Pass reports 16 inches of snow fell over the past 24 hours and they have opened some areas for skiing on Sunday.



Crystal Mountain and White Pass Ski Area are also reporting some fresh snow. The resorts plan to close for the season in a few days.
