You knew this question was coming: Why do cops eat so many donuts?

Q: Why do cops eat so many donuts? -- Melissa

A: "The age old question. Well, a long time ago in the '40's or '50's donut houses and coffee houses were the only places that were open 24 hours a day where cops would go and write their reports. Nowadays, with all the healthier options out there you don't see cops in donut shops nearly as much. We tend to focus towards a more healthy food. Doesn't mean officers don't get together and have lunch, but that donut mythology will be around for the rest of our lives, in movies and everywhere else, thanks to our fore-brothers who stuck us with that." -- Pierce County Det. Ed Troyer
