WANTED IN SEATTLE --
A warning tonight, if you have a motorcycle, make sure it has a heavy duty chain or some other kind of theft protection because bike thieves like these two suspects are on the prowl.
Surveillance video shows them stealing a red and silver 2008 Honda sport motorcycle from the 5000 block of 5th Ave. NE in Seattle on July 29th.
The bike has not been found and detectives are hoping someone can identify the two thieves.
"As you watch the video, you don't get a real good look, but the fact is that they're using some type of device to bypass the ignition, in my experience, and so you see them cranking, cranking, cranking. They're probably trying to pull the ignition out or bypass the ignition and start the motorcycle and in this case it worked,” says Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound! They're going to go the wrong way on a one-way street. They're taking the motorcycle, making a U-turn, going against traffic and then if you watch, they're in such a hurry the getaway vehicle that the other suspect is in, he doesn't even close the passenger door. He makes a U-turn and follows the motorcycle against traffic on a one-way street. So, we're not dealing with road scholars, but they're out there stealing motorcycles."
The Honda they stole has Washington license plate 4A8325.
