Violent Robbers: Pair of unidentified suspects accused of beating and robbing woman for her car

transitWANTED IN FEDERAL WAY -- Federal Way police are asking for your help in a case where a woman had her jaw broken in a violent attack. Detectives say the victim was beaten and robbed for her car at the Federal Way Transit Center. Take a good look at these two guys. These are the suspects who need to be identified. You see them on surveillance video from the bus station, just hanging around like they have nothing to do and nowhere to go. At one point they sit near a guy who's standing and waiting for a bus. Detectives think they were first looking to rob him, but got spooked. That's when the two get up and head across the street to the parking lot, where the victim was parking her car to go home to her nearby apartment. "As she was walking to her apartment, she tells detectives that she thought she felt something behind her, but she didn't turn around quite in time,” says Cathy Schrock with Federal Way police. “Who we call ‘Suspect #1’ hit her from behind across the jaw which knocked her to the ground. They begin to struggle for her purse. He punched her again aside the face, breaking her jaw. At that time they got her purse and they ran back towards the transit center, where they had seen her park her vehicle. They dumped the purse on the way back, they just grabbed the keys, and then they got into the transit center, stole the car, and then it was found hours later near Highway 167 and Highway 18.” Detectives say the green hoodie ‘Suspect #1’ has on is very unique, and hopefully helps someone identify this guy for them. ‘Suspect #2’ wore a purple and gray hoodie with ‘NY’ on it.” If you can get these two identified for Federal Way police, call an anonymous tip into: CRIME STOPPERS: 1-800-222-TIPS You must call the Crime Stoppers hotline with your tip to be eligible to receive a cash reward for information leading to a fugitive’s arrest.
