Russell Wilson: 'I can't wait to be king of the slime' (VIDEO)

LOS ANGELES -- Seahawks star quarterback Russell Wilson talked with Q13 FOX News This Morning's Kaci Aitchison Wednesday. And while they chatted football, they also talked slime.

Wilson was in L.A. preparing for his job as host of the Nickelodeon's Kid's Choice Sports Awards on July 16. Wilson, who frequently visits kids at the Seattle Children's Hospital, said he can't wait to host the award show, bringing smiles and fun to thousands of kids.

He also can't wait to get his hands on some of that famous Nickelodeon slime.

"I can't wait to be king of the slime," he said, laughing.

Wilson already has some targets in mind.

"I hope I get to slime Derek Jeter," Wilson said.

Of course, Wilson also talked a little football. He said a recent team-building trip Maui was a complete success, and he took the opportunity to get to know the Seahawks' newest member, Tight End Jimmy Graham.

"Jimmy looks unbelievable," Wilson said. "Going down to Maui was a great opportunity for him and us. Also for us as a team."

Wilson said though he's preparing for the awards show in L.A., he is also preparing for the season, which begins on Sept. 13 when the Hawks fly to St. Louis to take on the Rams. That game will be broadcast on Q13 FOX.
