WSP: Icy roads cause several accidents in Kitsap County

KITSAP COUNTY, Wash. -- State troopers are blaming icy roads for several early morning accidents. Trooper Russ Winger says there were collisions on State Route 3 near the Finn Hill and State Route 305 area Tuesday.

State patrol  responded to another accident near Silverdale. The driver hit an ice patch and spun out into a ditch, according to the trooper on-scene.

Luckily, there were no serious injuries.

Trooper Winger is encouraging drivers to slow down and increase the distance between their vehicles and other cars on the road.

Washington State Department of Transportation road crews were out all morning de-icing the roads in Kitsap County.
