WMW viewer tips lead to arrest of violent female fugitive who was hiding in closet wall; wanted for head-butting cop

FUGITIVE CAPTURED November 18, 2014 -- The Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force arrested Brittany Basinger at a residence in Sumner on Tuesday. Deputies located her thanks to anonymous Crime Stoppers tips from Washington’s Most Wanted viewers. Deputies found her hiding inside a closet behind some drywall.  The edges were frayed and bent so officers could tell it had been tampered with. Basinger’s hair was dyed a brownish color and she appeared as though she could use some rest, food and detox. She was wanted for assault.  Deputies say she head-butted a uniformed officer in a Tulalip casino when they tried to arrest her for drugs. She is also accused of hiding her dog after it bit a woman in the face — leaving her with 65 stitches. Basinger already has two felony drug convictions and at least nine other misdemeanors. Deputies recovered two guns from her residence.
