Warm weekend

A few scattered showers and mild temperatures will continue this weekend. A warm front that will quickly be followed by a cool front is sailing through the area creating sparse hit and miss showers. By tomorrow night, a weak area of high pressure known as a “dirty high” will work to dry us out, but given its weak nature, won’t be able to push back the clouds. Thus, mostly cloudy skies remain in the forecast with little change until mid-week. Once the chance starts, however, there will be a quick drop in temperatures as overnight lows freeze again creating chances for lowland snow.
