UW favored by 2 TDs in Apple Cup today

PULLMAN -- UW and Washington State kick off the Apple Cup in Pullman Friday – a 112-year tradition. The Huskies are favored by 13 to 14 points, according to Las Vegas odds makers.

In addition, the Cougs might have to play the game without one of their best defenders. Travis Long has missed practice all week because of a knee injury suffered in last week’s loss to Arizona State.

He ranks fourth in the Pac-12 with 9 ½ sacks this season.

Also, the Dawgs are undefeated in the Apple Cup under coach Steve Sarkisian.

But as everyone in the state knows, the favorite doesn’t always walk away with the Apple Cup at the end of the game.

The game will be broadcast at 12:30 p.m. on Q13 FOX.
