UPDATE: Missing Snohomish teens found in Tacoma

TACOMA -- Two Snohomish girls missing for over a week are safe after being found in Tacoma on Saturday.

Keyanna Monson and Samantha Eldredge, both 16, were located together by Tacoma Police and the FBI. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office reports that the girls were safe and taken to a safe location by authorities on Saturday night. The sheriff's office worked with the TPD and FBI in finding the girls.

An earlier statement by the sheriff's office indicated that the teens were with their families. SCSO Lt. Rodney Rochon said that particular information was incorrect, but that the families are aware of where they are and who they are now with.

The two girls had left home on January 28, and hadn’t been seen since. Investigators feared that the teens were in danger and possibly victims of sex trafficking.

The girls were healthy when they were found, Rochon said. He also said that details on how they were found will not be released at this time.
