U.S. mail delivered in rain, snow, sleet ... but not to this home in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — A Spokane woman can't believe her small dog is so dangerous it's preventing Postal Service carriers from delivering her mail.

The 5-year-old Shih Tzu named Lucky is a little larger than a football. Owner Sun Moon tells KREM (http://bit.ly/1xLxSUc ), "He's not a monster" and never bit anybody.

Moon received a notification letter earlier this month that said her dog was a danger. It said she won't get home deliveries unless she moved her mail box to the front of her fence.

Robbin Darst with the Postal Service in Spokane says the problem with the dog is not viciousness but being loose. Darst says all dogs have to be restrained from reaching the mail box.

Moon doesn't want to move her mailbox or rent a P.O. box.
