LYNNWOOD, Wash. -- Two 15-year-old boys were rescued after they fell through the ice Wednesday at Lake Serene in Lynnwood, Snohomish County authorities said.
Their conditions were not immediately known. One of the rescuers said one boy was able to get out of the lake on his own, but the other teen was in the water for about 20-25 minutes and was conscious but hypothermic by the time they were able to pull him out.
Snohomish County Fire 1 said the boys were being transported to the hospital by medics.
Leslie Hynes, of Snohomish County Fire District 1, said the incident occurred at about 4323 Serene Way -- across from the fire station.
No other information was immediately available.
