Teens charged in kidnapping of great-grandmother from Kennewick, stuffing her in truck of car

KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) — Three Washington teens have been charged in connection with kidnapping an 86-year-old woman, stuffing her in the trunk of her car and driving more than 200 miles to a Walmart near Portland.

The Tri-City Herald reports (http://goo.gl/tjTTnm ) 16-year-old Dylan K. Martin, the great-grandson of Hazel Abel,  has been charged as an adult with kidnapping, burglary and theft in the Nov. 2 incident.

Abel was abducted from her Kennewick home. She  escaped when the teens stopped at Walmart.

A 15-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl have been charged with the same crimes in juvenile court. All the charges carry aggravating circumstances alleging the victim was vulnerable and the crimes were deliberately cruel. Q13 FOX News is not naming these two because they are being charged in juvenile court.

Bail has been set at $250,000 for each teen. They are being held at a juvenile detention facility in Oregon.
