Take a creepy trip into abandoned shopping mall (VIDEO)

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KTVI) — A so-called “urban explorer” recently took a tour through an abandoned shopping mall, and his eerie evidence has since gone viral.

According to KTVI in St. Louis, the cameraman crept through Jamestown Mall located in the St. Louis suburb of Florissant. It shut down in July of last year.

YouTube user “BackyardExploration” uploaded the video last month, and it is now has more than 250,000 views.

Warning: Some may find the language in the video offensive.

The video’s description warns viewers not to trespass on the property, but claims the photographer decided to pursue filming it “upon popular request.”

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported back in July that the suburban mall closed and that ownership of the mall was divided among five different parties. At that time, city officials were trying to determine how to develop the land.

Take a look at the explorer walks through the mall’s old movie theate, store back-rooms and hallways — seeing everything from broken glass to leaking ceilings and moldy walls.
