Suspect in armed Lacey Walmart shoplifting case arrested in Oregon

ASTORIA, Ore. (AP) — Police say a shoplifting suspect who pulled a gun to escape from a Lacey, Washington, Wal-Mart was arrested at an Astoria hotel.

Officers arrested the 25-year-old Puyallup man Saturday evening after a foot chase.

The Daily Astorian reports (http://bit.ly/1A4EXO8) he was jailed on charges of robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm, and possessing heroin and methamphetamine.

Police also arrested two women from Washington in his hotel room for possessing heroin and other drugs.
