Silver Alert canceled, missing 83-year-old man found safe

UPDATE: Merrick was found safe by Seattle police.

ISSAQUAH, Wash. -- Issaquah police are asking for help in finding a missing man who hasn't been seen since Wednesday morning.

Bryant Merrick, 83, was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's. He left his home in the Providence Point area of Issaquah around 11 a.m. Wednesday and has not been heard from since.

Officials said he recently moved from Everett to Issaquah and is not familiar with the area.

He is described as 5' 8" tall, 160 pounds. His car is a blue 2005 Chrysler 300 with Washington plate ADR1010.
