SEE IT: Stranger rescues man from burning home, then disappears

FRESNO, Calif. -- An unidentified man is being called a hero after rescuing a man from a burning home Saturday in California.

The fire was reported around 8:00 a.m. in Fresno. Beth Lederach captured video of the raging house fire and posted it to YouTube.

A woman who lived in the home told Lederach her dad was still inside, according to the Fresno Bee.



The rescuer walked up to the home (at :49), saved the man (at 1:27) and then disappeared minutes later.

“He just calmly walked right in there and then came walking right back out with this guy,” Lederach told the Fresno Bee.

Several other strangers also showed up to help before firefighters arrived at the scene.

The fire caused $100,000 in damage to the home. Nobody was seriously hurt.
