SEATTLE -- An article by Seattle Times' Seahawks columnist Matt Calkins is being shared all over social media -- it's the story of how Marshawn Lynch helped save one man's life.
It all stems from Beast Mode's infamous interview two years ago where he told Dion Sanders over and over again "I'm just 'bout that action, boss."
At that time, a man named Jake McCluskey weighed 380 pounds. He said he was a sloth and his life was in danger.
But something about Lynch's interview inspired him. He told the Times he watched the clip 30 times and went out for a run in the middle of the night.
McCluskey says he has run every single day since then and has lost 170 pounds.
He has run marathons and is now training for an ultra marathon and continues to watch the clip each day.
"Marshawn gets such a bad rap in regards to media relations, but I just want him to know that he saved my life," McCluskey told the paper.
The Times columnist decided to approach Beast Mode in the locker room and showed him two pictures of McCluskey while explaining the story.
Lynch replied, "That's gangsta."
