Missing, endangered 5-day old baby found safe in Seattle

Seattle Police have located a 5-day-old baby who was taken from the hospital before her mother was cleared to do so.

According to SPD, the mother took the newborn girl from the hospital around 2:15 p.m. on Oct. 26. The hospital and Child Protective Services have not authorized the child to be released due to concerns regarding the safety of the mother's living situation.

The child was found safe about an hour and a half after Seattle police tweeted that she was in danger.

It's unclear if the mother will be charged.
