Seattle man arrested in fatal weekend fight

SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle police say they've arrested a 55-year-old man in connection with a homicide that happened over the weekend.

Police say two residents of a Seattle housing facility began fighting after leaving the facility on the 1800 block of Eastlake Avenue just before 3 a.m. Saturday. A 47-year-old man was injured and returned to his apartment.

Police say about 10 hours later, facility staff told them the man "was found in medical distress" and taken to a local hospital. He later died from his injuries.

Police had initially arrested the 55-year-old man for assault and have rebooked him for investigation of homicide. Neither man's identity has been released.
