Reports: Three people shot in two shootings in Moscow, Idaho

MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — Police are investigating gunfire in Moscow, Idaho.

The Moscow-Pullman Daily News says initial reports Saturday afternoon indicate one person was shot at an Arby's Restaurant and two people were shot at the rental office of an apartment building.

A dispatcher with Whitcom 911 says the shooter is in custody but did not immediately provide other details.

The newspaper reports two people were taken to Gritman Medical Center in Moscow and another to Pullman Regional Hospital.

Marty Johncox is the spokesman for Gritman Medical Center. He says the hospital is in lockdown, but he's not aware of an incident there.

Kelsey Stemrich told The Associated Press she was working at a cafe near Arby's when she and a customer heard three gunshots and then saw people running from the restaurant. She says they took down the license plate number of a car seen pulling away from the Arby's and called it into police.
