Redmond movie theater evacuated after bomb threat found in restroom



REDMOND, Wash. -- Police evacuated the Regal Cinemas Bella Bottega movie theater in Redmond Friday night after a bomb threat was found in one of the restrooms.

Police said the staff found the note in one of the restrooms at about 6 p.m. Friday. The note said there was a bomb planted inside the building. Staff quickly called the police, then went throughout the building, stopping movies and asking everyone to leave.

Police said they swept the building for explosives and staff was allowed to return to the theater at about 10:20 p.m.

The theater is at 8890 161st Ave. NE in Redmond.
