Rain, wind and snow on the way

Scattered showers this morning become more steady rain this afternoon around the region. A front moving in will deliver rain and wind at times-- with some spots along the coast and I-5 corridor seeing wind gusts up to 40 mph. The rain will stay with us for the first part of the evening before tapering off into showers later tonight. High temps near 50 for most of the I-5 corridor. The record high for today at SeaTac is 54 set back in 1953-- so that record looks pretty safe.

More Cascade snow in the forecast. Hopefully just the oomph the lower resorts need in Washington and Oregon. Winter Weather Advisory starts at noon and lasts until noon Thursday. Forecast models put 8-18" of new snow in the mountains above about 3,500 feet. More snow for the higher elevations. There's also a High Wind Watch in effect for today in Central Washington in the Yakima and Kittitas Valleys.

Tomorrow and Friday we'll see more scattered showers and still breezy at times. High temps in the mid 40s.

The next big rain comes in overnight Friday into the first part of Saturday. Wind and rain look likely for the morning, tapering into more scattered showers into the later afternoon. Game time temperatures should be in the 40s at CenturyLink Field. Go Hawks!
