Q13 Cares: A night of celebration at the St. Jude Dreamhome Showplace

BELLEVUE, Wash. -- It was a night of real estate dreams and fine dining in Bellevue -- all for a good cause.

John Buchan Homes built this multimillion-dollar home, donating the materials, labor and time. And when the home sells, all profits will go towards life-saving work at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where the families of children with cancer and other diseases don't have to pay for treatment.

On Thursday night, it was a time to celebrate all the hard work with food from celebrity chefs, local wins and chocolates. Q13 News' own Liz Dueweke was there to host, as Q13 Cares is teaming up with Buchan Homes and St Jude in this endeavor.

Brian Doyle, of St. Jude, said "the funding from the sale of this home is going directly to the children of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital that are suffering from a variety of illnesses, primarily cancer."

The home features over 5,000 square feet of luxury living, with four bedrooms and four full baths. And it's up for sale.  Tours of the home are held every weekend through the month of February.
