Police searching for strong-arm bank robber who held up tellers at U. Village bank

SEATTLE -- Police are looking for a bank robber who held up a Key Bank Tuesday morning in University Village.

Police tweeted about the robbery around 9:35 a.m. Tuesday.





Police are now searching the area for a suspect. Two Seattle schools -- Bryant and Larelhurst -- were put in "Shelter in Place" while police looked for the suspect, Seattle Public Schools tweeted. The order was lifted around 10:35 a.m.

The Seattle Department of Transportation tweeted that traffic is backed up in the area as police were looking for the robber.
