POLICE: No credible threat found at Amazon despite threatening note found in building

SEATTLE -- Police investigated threats at an Amazon building in the 400 block of Terry Avenue Monday.

As a precaution, the building was evacuated Monday.

"Officers completed a thorough search of the complex and have not found any indications the threat was credible," Seattle police said Monday afternoon. "Police will continue to investigate the case and work to identify the person who left the threatening note."

Police said staff at Amazon.com’s South Lake Union headquarters found the threatening note on the company’s campus early Monday.

Building security contacted Seattle police about 10:30 a.m. after staff found a note inside a restroom in the Amazon complex.

Seattle Police Department Arson/Bomb Squad and explosive detection dog teams deployed to the complex to assist in the investigation.
