Police: Man threatened Abercrombie & Fitch employees with knife

SEATTLE -- A man was arrested Tuesday night after allegedly threatening Seattle Abercrombie & Fitch employees with a knife, Seattle police said.

The 49-year-old man was arrested around 7:30 p.m. near the store on 4th Avenue and Pine Street. Managers watched the man once he came into the store because they believed he stole from the store before, police said. Employees said they watched the man take cologne from his gym bag and attempt to walk out of the store when employees confronted him. T

he man allegedly brandished a knife at employees and the staff backed off. The suspect left the store, but was arrested a few blocks down the road.

The man was booked into King County Jail for investigation of robbery, police said.
