Police: Bellingham city employee admits to changing-room voyeurism at city pool

BELLINGHAM -- A 54-year-old Bellingham city employee admitted to using his employee access to videotape women in a pool changing area following a recent arrest, police said Friday.

According to the Bellingham Police Department, David Frick was arrested for possession of child porn, internet viewing of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct and voyeurism.

The man, who works at the Arne Hanna Aquatic Center, is in Whatcom County Jail.

During the investigation into the man's alleged internet crimes, he admitted to videotaping four adult city employees without their knowledge in a staff changing area, police said.

The staff changing area is separate from the public changing area at the city-run pool, officials said.

"We have no reason to believe that his criminal activity at his workplace involved patrons of the pool facility," Bellingham police officials said.

Frick was arraigned Friday.
