Oregon woman climbs through drive-thru window at 4 a.m. to cook a veggie burger

TIGARD, Ore. (AP) — Ever have an overwhelming 4 a.m. craving for a veggie burger?

The Oregonian reports (http://is.gd/IDD0on) that police in the Portland suburb of Tigard say a homeless woman climbed inside a drive-thru window at a Burgerville fast-food restaurant early Tuesday to cook herself a spicy bean burger.

Police spokesman Jim Wolf says her plans were interrupted when an employee showed up for work about 4:30 a.m.

The employee backed outside and called police.

Wolf says officers found the woman wearing a Burgerville apron and plastic gloves while she cooked.

The spokesman says the 27-year-old woman was arrested for investigation of second-degree burglary.
