Oops! Cub Scouts group gets eyeful after wrong turn on nature hike

SAN DIEGO (KSWB) -- Some San Diego Cub Scouts got a lesson they weren't expecting.

The scouts, ranging in ages of 9 and 10, were on a nature hike near Torrey Pines State Beach on January 24 when they saw a bunch of people without any clothes on.

Some of the scouts were walking ahead of the larger group, including parents, when they came across the naked people at Black's Beach. The particular beach is known for people baring it all.

Parents were upset that the group took the Black's Beach route.

The Boy Scouts of America organization released a statement about the hiking trip on Monday:

"During a planned hiking trip at Torrey Pines State Beach, a local Cub Scout Pack encountered some individuals who were inappropriately dressed. This outing, involving both parents and adult volunteer leaders, was quickly rerouted to protect the youth. Following the trip, both San Diego-Imperial Council and Pack leadership met with parents to discuss the events and determine if further action was needed. Together we concluded that proper protocol had been observed and appropriate steps were taken in this matter."
