SEATTLE -- A fallen tree and other debris across the train tracks have forced the cancellation of Northline Sounder service until at least Thursday, officials announced Monday night.
"Sound Transit will continue to monitor the situation. If there are no additional events, service is expected to resume Thursday morning," Sound Transit said.
Please visit www.SoundTransit.org/alerts for updates to Sounder Northline service prior to your commute.
A Sound Transit spokesman said the fallen tree will be off tracks early Tuesday, but the 48-hour moratorium is a BNSF safety precaution following any corridor blocking incident.
Sound Transit said it will provide special buses with direct service to and from Seattle. Riders may also take regularly scheduled bus service. Evening bus service will be provided Tuesday in the early afternoon.
