North Bend man killed while skiing on Snoqualmie Pass

SNOQUALMIE PASS – A North Bend man was killed Saturday while skiing with his son and two other people, the Kittitas County sheriff’s office said.

Kelly  Luna, 50, broke off from his group during a downhill run in the Silver Fir area at Snoqualmie Pass.

When he didn’t meet back up at the bottom, the group took the lift back up to look for him. They followed  his tracks, and found him upside down in a tree-well with his head and torso under the snow.

The group pulled Luna out and tried to resuscitate him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
