Nearly 100 turn out at Bellevue City Hall to protest new power project

BELLEVUE, Wash. -- Nearly 100 people turned out at City Hall Tuesday night to protest a huge project to put in taller power poles.

Puget Sound Energy said the new poles are desperately needed.

The first issue, critics of the project say, is safety -- the power project with new high voltage lines will span 18 miles and traverse through 29 different neighborhoods. But PSE said they're just expanding what they already have.
