Mudslide blocks US 12 near Porter Creek

ELMA, Wash. -- A mudslide forced the closure of US 12 near Porter Creek (milepost 27) in Grays Harbor County.

Traffic is being diverted in the area after the slide spilled across the entire road. WSDOT is waiting until daylight to assess the situation.

Traffic heading westbound is being diverted to West Bank Road, then Wakefield into the Harbor area.

Eastbound traffic is being turned around at the slide.
