Missing baby safely returned to authorities in Kittitas County

UPDATE: The parents of a missing endangered 2-month-old girl turned her over to authorities in Kittitas County. Police said they have not arrested the parents, but are continuing to investigate.




ORIGINAL STORY:

SEATTLE -- Police are asking for the public's help in locating a 2-month-old baby after her parents failed to turn her over to protective custody.

The baby was last with her parents, Patrick Curran and Inger Surowieki around 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Seattle police said the parents did not appear at an emergency court hearing which would have placed the child into DSHS custody.

The baby is a 2-month-old girl. She weighs about 14 pounds and has strawberry blond hair.

The parents drive a dark blue 1986 Ford Bronco with Washington plates 230XNT.

Surowieki is also wanted on felony and misdemeanor warrants.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the baby or her parents are asked to call 9-1-1.
