Mill Creek councilmember welcomes unvaccinated officers to apply

A Snohomish County leader is telling unvaccinated officers they are welcome in his city’s police department.

Mill Creek councilmember Vincent Cavaleri announced on his Facebook page that the city is looking to hire 6-7 positions and that the city will not require vaccines for them.

This announcement came after Washington’s vaccine mandate for state workers went into effect last week.

Cavaleri said he would facilitate the process and "fast-track" the lateral move for people interested in the positions.

"You can continue your career path with honor and distinction in our city, where you are appreciated and loved, but most of all respected for who you are and what you do," he said.
