Man killed, woman injured in Bothell crash

BOTHELL, Wash. -- Bothell police are investigating a crash that left one man dead and sent a woman to the hospital.

Officers were called around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday to the 18600 block of 101st Ave. NE in Bothell.

Authorities say a car was heading south on 101st when it hit a tree, spun around and knocked over a sign. The driver died at the scene and the passenger was taken with unknown injuries to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Bothell police said they were still investigating the cause of the crash. No other vehicles appeared to be involved.

The road was expected to remain closed into the afternoon.
