Man hospitalized with burns after Pasco motel fire

PASCO, Wash. (AP) — Officials say a fire that broke out at a Pasco motel has left one man injured.

The Tri-City Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1RvlpxE ) that police say the victim, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital Sunday night with burns to his face. It is unclear how serious the burns are or if he sustained burns to other parts of his body.

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze that erupted in one of the motel rooms and kept it from spreading throughout the motel.

Officials say the fire destroyed the room and partially spread into at least one other room.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
