Man seriously injured in South Seattle shooting

SEATTLE - A man was seriously injured Thursday night in a shooting in South Seattle. 

Officers responded to a shooting at 8th Avenue South and South Massachusetts Street after 11 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds. 

According to police, the victim was standing on the screen when an unknown person pulled up in a car, shot him and drove away. 

The Seattle Fire Department said medics treated the 23-year-old man at the scene and he was later taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. As of Friday morning, he was in critical condition.
