As you wait out in the cold and dark, have you ever wondered what store employees are doing inside before they open for Black Friday?
Wonder no longer. A YouTube video shot at an unidentified Target store this past Black Friday reveals it looks a lot like a scene from the movie 300.
In the 56-second clip a man in red polo, khaki pants and some kind of extra tight belt is seen standing on top of a register and addressing the other employees gathered on all sides of him.
“People of Target, brothers, sisters hear me now,” begins the man, identified only as 'Scot' in the video's YouTube caption.
Pacing on the register’s conveyor belt, Scot points over his shoulder toward the store entrance.
“They are standing out there,” he bellows. “Any moment now those doors will be breached. Whatever comes through those gates. You will stand your ground with a smile on your face.”
Sweat glistens on Scot’s bald head as he gesticulates emphatically.
“They come here with bargains in their heads and fire in their eyes and we shall give those bargains to them,” yells Scot as his voice grows in volume and intensity.
“We will show them that we are not just the best store in this neighborhood, but the best store anywhere,” says Scott in a warrior’s yell. “Because we are more than just a store.”
“ This is a team.”
“This is a family.”
Finally with all he can muster with clenched fist raised he screams.
“THIS. IS. TARGET!!!”
Then he turns and yells, “Let 'em in!”
Remember Alex from Target? We sure don't any more.
