Jerry Sandusky to appeal child sex abuse conviction

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky is expected to take the stand today to try to prove his claim that he was wrongly convicted four years ago of sexually abusing 10 boys.

Sandusky plans to appear in a Pennsylvania courthouse for a Post-Conviction Relief Act hearing.

The 72-year-old was convicted of 45 counts and is serving a 30- to 60-year sentence.
