SEATTLE -- Many babies are being fed solid food to soon, according to a new study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

CDC researchers questioned more then 1,300 moms and found that 40 percent of them introduced solid foods within four months of giving birth.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends introducing solid foods to babies no earlier than six months of age.
