I-90 closed Monday morning over Snoqualmie Pass for avalanche control

SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. -- Transportation officials closed Interstate 90 over Snoqualmie Pass for several hours Monday morning for avalanche control.

Both directions had reopened by 12:10 p.m.

Eastbound traffic was stopped near Denny Creek at milepost 47 and Gold Creed milepost 61. Westbound traffic was stopped near Price Creek milepost 61.


    WSDOT also said a closure was planned on US 2 over Stevens Pass from 4 - 6 a.m Tuesday.
