SEATTLE - A North Seattle man says he is grateful to have his stolen truck back. A Q13 News viewer who asked not to be identified spotted it Tuesday night at 88th and Lynden about 6 blocks from where it was stolen. Jonathon Montano says the truck is fine but all of his tools are gone. The thieves also took his the marriage license information he needs for his wedding on Saturday. Still, he wants to thank the viewer who found it and all of those who have donated to help him replace the tools.
Montano says he rushed home last week in his work truck to take his fiancee to the hospital because of an emergency. When they got back to their home on East Greenlake Dr. N, someone had stolen his red 1991 Mazda B2200 pickup. Inside was $10,000 in tools Montano needs for his frost and insulation business.
"It's a huge setback. I also had tools from my previous employment where I was an auto body technician. I was kind of freaking out. I was like where's my car," said Montano.
The couple borrowed a brown 1985 Toyota Camry from his fiancee's dad. When they came out Sunday morning to walk their dog, that car was missing too.
The Camry has not been found.
"I don't know what's going on around here. Two in four days. I am running out of options here so," said Montano.
They've started a GoFundMe account to replace the tools. If you would like to donate, here is the link: https://www.gofundme.com/Montanotruck
