SPANAWAY, Wash. -- A major fire at an abandoned mobile homes graveyard forced authorities Monday to temporarily close Pacific Avenue at 208th Street East.
The fire started at about 3:45 p.m. At about 5:25 p.m., Central Pierce Fire said that the fire was under control and 20 mobile homes had been burned.
No injuries were reported.
Pacific Avenue in that area is also known as State Route 7.
The Washington State Patrol tweeted at 10:20 p.m. that Pacific Avenue had reopened to traffic.
