Father of 19-year-old gunned down in Federal Way pleads for public's help in finding killer

AUBURN, Wash. -- The father of a 19-year-old man who was gunned down in a Federal Way apartment complex parking lot pleaded Friday night for anyone to come forward with information about his killer or killers.

"He's a really good kid," said Raul Raynaga.

His son, Erik Raynaga, was shot to death in the parking lot of the Crystal Point Apartments  complex on 25th Avenue Southwest in Federal Way Thursday night. The killer or killers escaped.

Police said there was some kind of fight before shots were fired.

"He always helped me around, polite to people, always. People who know him know what kind of kid he was," Raul said.

Erik's family said he was about to become a father in three months.

"He was about to be a father to his own kid and someone came and took that way from him," Erik's cousin, Angela Raynaga, said.

Erik's family is left searching for answers and hope his killer is brought to justice.

"Please come forward if you know something about my son, who did it, please do that," Erik's father pleaded.

Police are also asking the public for help in trying to track down the killer or killers. If you have any information, contact the Federal Way Police Department.
